Is the Town Creek B&B on a main street, near a highway, hospital or restaurant?

Yes, yes, yes, and yes! Town Creek Bed and Breakfast is just 1 city block from thriving Main Street and one block from Milam Street, a major north-south artery in Fredericksburg Texas. We are also just 3 blocks walking distance from the MarktPlatz (or Town Center), the focal point for city festivals, celebrations such as Oktoberfest, and parades. There are over 100 major events in Fredericksburg each year. Shopping, dining and live music begin scarcely a block and a half away from the inn. The local hospital is located less than 5 minutes away should you need medical care.

Is the Town Creek B&B in a quiet location?

Yes! Town Creek Bed and Breakfast is located on a spacious landscaped 1.5 ac. of land that borders the Fredericksburg Historical District. We are romantically secluded from the noise and bustle of thriving Main Street Fredericksburg Texas (just one block away) by tree lined Town Creek and Austin Streets. It can be so quiet and relaxing that guests often forget they are only 3 blocks walking distance from the MarktPlatz and attempt to drive.

Is there free parking at the Town Creek B&B?

Yes. We are located on a 1.5 ac. corner lot. The residential streets bordering Town Creek B&B provide over 450 linear feet of quiet dedicated curbside parking and you are only steps away from your private suite.
Breakfast:

Is breakfast included in the price?

Yes! Town Creek takes the term "Bed & Breakfast" seriously. Both a great bed and a great breakfast plus amenities are included in the price of each room. The owners live on site and are able quickly to address any issues that may arise.

Is the breakfast served continental or a real bacon and eggs meal?

Remember... we said "great"? Breakfast at Town Creek is best described as a "traditional full hot gourmet breakfast" which means you get a complete freshly cooked breakfast each morning. Both owners are exceptional experienced cooks who prepare a complete balanced meal generally made of the freshest local seasonal produce available. A cold or re-heated breakfast has never been served at Town Creek Bed and Breakfast.

Does the menu accommodate dietary restrictions and food allergies?

Absolutely yes! Special dietary needs are happily accommodated. The key is giving the owners plenty of advanced notice of your special needs as menus are prepared several days in advance. Remember... advanced notice keeps everyone happy.

Can breakfast be delivered to the room?

Yes. With advanced notice breakfast is gladly delivered to your room. But many people find the highlight of their stay at Town Creek to be the lively conversation around the large table at breakfast time.

Conveniences

Is the bathroom shared or private?

Private. All suites at Town Creek Bed and Breakfast have their own private baths. Additionally, each suite has its own outside entrance so your privacy is strictly observed.

Are there in-room refrigerators and coffee-makers?

Yes. All suites have coffee makers. All suites one have refrigerators.

Does the room have a tub or shower or tub and shower?

Yes. All rooms have a shower. Most rooms also have a tub. The room descriptions on this site have detail listings of what conveniences are available in each room.

Is there a TV? Cable? Internet service?

Yes. All rooms at Town Creek have cable television. Secure wireless high-speed internet service (54 Mbit) is also available. You may request a password to the Town Creek Guest Network when you check in.

Air conditioner?

Yes, all rooms at Town Creek have HVAC either as individual room units or part of an entire house system.
Activities around town:

What sites, shops or parks are within walking distance?

Main Street shops begin scarcely 1 1/2 blocks away and extend more than 1/2 mile providing more than 100 retail shops and restaurants with in walking distance. Three top museums also exist with in that space. Fredericksburg is host to over 100 large public events per year.

More than 20 wineries range from minutes to with in an hour's drive of Fredericksburg Texas.

30 Minutes or less driving:
Enchanted Rock State Park. LBJ Ranch State Park. Bat Cave State Park.

About an hour's drive:
Austin is 70 miles to the east featuring the State Capitol, the University of Texas, and of course the famous Austin Music scene.

San Antonio is 65 miles to the south where you will find outstanding world class shopping, dining, Sea World, the River Walk, and Fiesta Over Texas.

Policies

What are the rules for cancellations and refunds?

Because we understand that circumstances change and also Town Creek is a very popular Bed and Breakfast our cancellation policy is quite flexible. In general, with enough advanced notice we will be able to re-book a room and you will not be charged for a cancellation. Access. Is someone at the front desk around the clock? If not, when can guests arrive, and are keys available for coming and going at will?

The owners live on site and make every attempt to be available when you arrive. That is why it is very important that you relay your current travel plans and keep us apprised of any changes including arrival times. Once you are checked into Town Creek Bed and Breakfast you are free to come and go as you please since all suites have outside private entrances. Check in procedures are detailed in your confirmation email when you make a reservation.

Town Creek is a tobacco free property.

Extra People, Children, & Pets?

Town Creek B&B is a romantic bed and breakfast where adults come to enjoy time spent together generally away from busy jobs or children. We have found that children generally do not enjoy the quietness of our property.

Pets are not accepted. We tried it more than once and the results were embarrassingly expensive for the pet owners. We know you love your pet but also feel certain you will appreciate this policy when your stay follows someone else's pet.

Extra people. Town Creek Bed and Breakfast rents our seven bedrooms by the room understanding there are a maximum of two persons per bedroom. Un-announced extra people present a security risk and fire safety risk to the property and its customers. Extra people will be required to immediately leave the property regardless of the circumstances.
